Existing Environmentally
Critical Projects
1) Gas Pipeline
a structure for transporting gaseous fuels
over long distances from the point of
extraction or production to the points of
consumption.
Gas pipelines may be laid underground, on
the surface, or on embankments.
In certain instances, pipelines are mounted
on supports or suspended from cables (over
large ravines or rivers); they may also be laid
across the bottoms of bodies of water (so-
called sag pipes).
The 105-kilometer Batangas-
Manila (BatMan 1) pipeline
The Department of Energy (DOE) has
assured local and foreign investors that it
will push through with the construction of
the 105-kilometer Batangas-Manila natural
gas pipeline.
Natural gas has been deemed to be
among the more feasible alternatives that
will allow the country to diversify its energy
and transport fuel sources.

2) Batching Plant
A manufacturing plant where concrete is
mixed before being transported to a
construction site ready to be poured.
An operating installation of equipment
including batchers and mixers as
required for batching or for batching and
mixing concrete materials; also called a
mixing plant when mixing equipment is
included.

The overall goal of the Project is to reduce
the loss and damage on human lives and
properties caused by perennial floods
A dam can also be used to collect water or
for storage of water which can be evenly
distributed between locations.
