WHAT IS LIGHT?

Light In simple words is a sensation of visibility.

Without light it is impossible to have sight.
Light works with the phenomenon of reflection
and refraction.
Light is also a source of energy.
Basic use of Light as energy is in generation of
electricity with photovoltaic cells.
HISTORY OF LIFI TECHNOLOGY
The technology truly began during the 1990's in
countries like Germany, Korea, and Japan where
they discovered LED's could be retrofitted to
send information. Prof. Harald Haas from
Edinburgh University continues to wow the world
with the potential to use light for communication.

WHAT IS LI-FI?
Li-Fi is the transmission of data through
illumination by taking the fiber out of fiber
optics by sending data through a LED light
bulb.
This varies in intensity faster than human
eye can follow.
It is the fast and cheap wireless
communication system which is a optical
version of the Wi-Fi.
HOW LI-FI WORKS..
operational procedure is very simple, if the led is on,
you transmit a digital 1, if its off you transmit a 0.
The LEDs can be switched on and off very quickly,
which gives nice opportunities for transmitting data.
Hence all that us required is some LEDS and a
controller that code data into those LEDs.
flicker depending upon the data we want to encode.
HOW LI-FI IS DIFFERENT?
Li-Fi technology is based on LEDs for the
transfer of data.
The transfer of the data can be with the help
of all kind of light i.e., Light may be Invisible,
Ultraviolet or Visible part of spectrum.
The speed of the internet is incredibly high
and the user everything in just a few
minutes.
APPLICATION AREA OF LI-FI TECHNOLOGY:
Some of the applications of Li-Fi are given
below:
Airways
Green information technology
Free from frequency bandwidth problem
Increase communication safety
Multi user communication
Lightings points used as hotspot

USES ON APPLICATIONS:
Can be safely used on plains because it
does not interfere with radio equipments.
Li-Fi never gives side effect on any living
thing .
It does not require any band width
spectrum.
Due to VLC, the node or terminal attach to
our network is visible to host of network.
Li-Fi supports the broadcasting of
network.
Any lightings device is performed as a
hostport.

Limitations 0r challenges-
# light can't pass through objects
#. Interferences from external light sources
like sun light, normal bulbs, and opaque
materials in the path of transmission will
cause interruption in the communication.
#High installation cost of the these
systems

#A major challenge facing Li-Fi is how the
receiving device will transmit back to
transmitter.
CONCLUSION
The concept of Li-Fi is currently attracting
a great deal of interest, not least because
it may offer a genuine and efficient
alternative to radio-based wireless.
As a growing number of people and their
devices access wireless internet, the air
waves are becoming increasingly
clogged, making it more and more
difficult to get a reliable, high-speed
signal.
