VERB FORM

I ---[get] up early and ---[ pray] God.

Gerund(-ing form)
When verb functions as subject or
object we use gerund i.e. ing form
of the verb.
Example: Walking is the best
exercise.
I hate cheating.
GERUND
-----[read] up to late night is not a
good habit.
-----[come] together is beginning.
-----[live] together is necessity.
-----[work] together is success.
I like -----[sing]
He knows -----[repair] TV.

The gerund (-ing form) must be
used when a verb comes after
a preposition:-

instead of | talk about | tired
of | without

I am against smoking in public
places.
She is good at speaking English.
I went home after leaving the party.

Verbs that are normally
followed by the gerund form:-

Participles

(-ing form and past participle)
When the action is going on,
we use ing form as adjective.
Example: A barking dog
chased us.

Participles
When the action is over,
we use past participle as
adjective.
Example: I collect used

Infinitive
Infinitive is used to show
