How does your magazine represent
particular social groups?
In my college magazine I have represented my target social groups
in a stereotypical way Ive made sure my magazine has aspects
where the models for example , look fashionable and even the
author which is myself.
I did this because I wanted the audience who were interested in
fashion to be able to relate and possibly use the magazine as a
trend setter. I also had cross heads which were news related such as
the students of the year speaking about their experiences, telling
students what to do and not to do. I also aimed at making my
students of the year look fashionable as well as the magazine is
mainly aimed at the fashion interested.
So , my magazine represents social groups by addressing what
theyre interested in news, fashion and etc.
How did you attract/address your
audience?
I aimed at attracting my target audience by trying to meet their needs by giving
my magazine a young and lively appearance. I did this by choosing my models
Peri and Daisy who were a similar age to my target audience so that my
audience could feel like they can relate and trust them when Peri and Daisy
talked about their experiences giving them the audience hints and tips telling
students how they should and shouldnt behave and what they could do to get
the best grades. I did this because I know that no student wants to fail and
wouldnt mind having extra guidance from those who understands them and
can relate to them by talking about their journey in college.
I attracted my audience by representing the models I used as fashionable as
possible. In addition to that I used some of the colours they like as a background
with the models so the magazine would be more likely to catch their eyes as it is
their favourite colour.
The crossheads in my magazine represent the target social groups I tried to
assure this by referring to my questionnaire ( demographics ). Even though the
magazine audience is mainly fashion oriented I did try the address the smaller
percentage who were interested in news etc.

What aspects of your work are you
pleased with and why?
Considering it was my first attempt at photo shop I feel like I have
come a long way and have improved a lot and definitely feel more
prepared for my music magazine.
I liked how I laid my magazine out I tried to give it a professional feel
even though I didnt achieve that I was happy with the attempts I
made and the improvements. Im extremely pleased with the
progress I made in terms of editing certain parts of a photo and on
how to move things to a certain position within the front cover etc.
In addition , I was very happy with the photos I took considering it
was my first attempt at trying to actually making a photo look
professional.

What aspects of your work could
be improved and why
Everything regarding my work could be improved the photos ,
masthead , colour schemes , the positioning of the photos. Even
though I was happy at my first attempt I know for a fact that the
magazine I created was nowhere near where it should and
couldve been however the improvements Ive made when using
Photoshop should allow me to make a decent magazine.
In my opinion the layout of my magazine could be improved as it
was lacking structure in a few places the colour scheme may not
have matched particularly well and could be improved.
