3 Process Verification Safety or Quality related reasons Sample Purity for Custody Transfer etc. 4 Why take grab samples? Closed Loop Sampling is a method of collecting grab samples in closed containers without venting to the atmosphere or exposing the operator to the process liquids , vapors or gases.
5 What is Closed Loop Sampling? Hygiene and Safety Protects operators against carcinogens, hot samples, Acids, Cyanide, Phosgene and Organics, Environmental Requirements Prevents VOCs from escaping into the atmosphere. Representative Sample Ensures that accurate and representative sample is taken every time. 6 Why Closed Loop Sampling? Gases Low / High vapor pressure Liquids High pressure liquids Viscous liquids and slurries Powders etc. 7 Typical Applications Cylinder Type Sampling Systems for Gases and Liquids Manual Continuous Sampling Systems for Liquids Fixed Volume Sampling Systems for Liquids Custom Sampling Systems Automatic Sampling Systems

Cylinder Type Sampling Systems 19 Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 20 Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 20 Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 21 A Manual Continuous Sample Systems is a Closed Loop Liquid Sampler that satisfies many sampling needs. This system allows continuous flow during the sampling process as well as by-pass mode .
Main Types of Manual Continuous System MD Flow-Through MH Manual Continuous MI Inline
Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 21 General Features and Benefits 22 Fulfills a variety of liquid sampling needs. Ideal also for high pressure and temperature applications Thanks to patented valve design, Zero dead volume is ensured that it is a must for representative samples Ensures operator safety through strong structure Sample is collected into a bottle by simply turning a valve Shroud assembly with window allows operator to see filling bottle while taking a sample.
Standard Plate Size ~ 35 cm x 15 cm All tubing, valves, cylinders and fittings come standard as SS. Monel, Alloy 20, Hastelloy B and C are also available Seats and Seals are Teflon. O-rings are Viton. Standard sampling Volume 30 cc to ~ 1 liter. Custom volumes available Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 22 Design Pressure & Temperature 23 Manual Continuous Sampling Systems 23 MD Flow-Through MR Close-Coupled RAM MH Manual Continuous MB Close-Coupled with blowback
MD Flow Thru 24 The MD sampler is used for higher pressure and temperature applications where continuous flow is desired or viscous process is encountered. A free flowing needle valve allows for continuous flow through a 1" or smaller orifice. MD has no internal volume allowing for a representative sample MD has hardened ceramic seat (8x stronger than steel )

46 Why choose Texas Sampling In TSI systems more components are installed on the back side of the panel for better operator safety. TSIs patented MD Valve design allows for continuous flow through a orifice. The valve also has a live load seat to withstand temperature fluctuations and will return to original state after routing use. Our competitors do not possess this valve technology. TSI bottle systems have replaceable needles, pencil point vent needles which alleviate plugging of the vent needle, shroud assemblies fitted per each customers bottle with a viewing slot, and removable sleeves. TSI systems are unique in terms of rolled edges, cylinder saddles, PNP on bottle applications and sight flow indicators liquids.
47 TSIs Advantages over Competitors-1 Nitrogen rotameter allows the operator to confirm that the vent line is clear. Competitors do not use any on their purge systems. Sight flow indicator on liquid cylinder systems allows the operator to verify flow and level of the sample cylinder. TSI standard quick connects have internal check valves to provide a double block on connections prior to and after the sample cylinder. PVC saddles allow the customer to properly alignment before quick connects mate to prevent damage to the stem and/or body
