Questions
How to confirm the transmission between
BSC and BTS?
How to check the board software version?
How to upgrade TMU and TRX programs?
How to check the channel state and what are
the normal states?
How to find faults and alarms in BTS?
Summary
For different objects, there are many operations supported.
But in daily maintenance, not all of them are frequently used.
In daily maintenance we should:
Look up the alarm console to find whether there is any alarm of
the BTSs
Perform Multi-site Fault Query to find whether there are
abnormal sites
Perform Site Test and check the board warning for the abnormal
BTSs to locate the problem
Check the channel state for all the BTSs to confirm the running
situation

Summary
Terminal maintenance system supports many functions and
most of them are same or similar to the remote maintenance
console.
In terminal maintenance console, parameters can be modified.
To design it this way is not for the purpose of data
modification. It is only for test. Data modification should be
done on BSC, not BTS. For example, you modified a TRXs
frequency by terminal console due to interference. Yes, the
frequency of the TRX IS changed. But, the BSC configuration
data for this BTS is not changed. If the BTS has a reset, this
TRX will go back to the origin frequency.
