The Arctic Monkeys-R U Mine

0.00-0.06
The video opens with a
mid shot of Steve Jones
hosting a radio show, the
sound is diegetic as he
introduces the song and
band.
0.07-0.24
During the rest of the narration
the video cuts between Steve
Jones and the lead singer and
drummer of the band in a car. The
style of the shots in the car is very
handheld and feels gritty and
realistic.
0.24-1.20
The video then holds
a continuous two shot
of the lead singer and
drummer who dance
and occasionally
mime the songs lyrics.
1.20-1.37
The video then
maintains
the continuous shot and
transitions to close up of
the lead singer who
mimes the lyrics whilst
holding the camera
1.37-2.41
The video continues to
maintain the continuous shot
whilst transitioning between
the different band members all
miming the lyrics using close
ups and one group shot.
2.41-47
The video now
transitions into the very
first long shot of the
lead singer outside of
the car , further
maintaining the single
continuous shot
2.41-3.03
The pace of the transitions speeds
up significantly during this section
in time with song as we go to more
varied and frequent camera angles
and shot types. E.g.: Long Shot,
close up mid shot
3.03-3.44
The end of the video transitions out
of the car and into a long shot of the
band performing the song with
instruments, during this section it
continues to continuously track into
the lead singer ending with a close up
of him singing.

Oasis-Dont Look Back In Anger
0.00-0.03
The video opens
with a long shot that
tracks around a chair
as the diegetic song
begins
0.03-0.10
For the next 10 seconds the video
cuts between an establishing shot
of a mansion and a POV shot from
the drivers seat of a car. Finally the
video cuts to a group shot the
band in the car introducing them.
0.10-0.12
The video makes several quick cuts
of less than a second to close ups of
each member of the band in time to
the drums before holding a close up
on the lead singer as he mimes the
opening lines.
0.12-0.46
The video continues to cut
between the close ups of all
the members of the band
and POV of the driver until it
arrives at the mansion when
it cuts to a separate POV of
the lady at the mansion.
0.46-1.27
The video continues to cut between
the band members however this time
more varied shot types are used as
they introduce mid shots and long
shots when the band utilise props and
begin performing.
1.27- 1.56
The video continues to cut
between the band performing
various instruments such as the
keyboard and guitar using mostly
mid shots and occasionally close
ups to show their performance.
1.56-3.05
The video continues with this established
format however narrative is loosely
introduced with the security guard and the
owner of the house. In addition the video
introduces the effect of a fade to further
communicate the members of the band to
the audience.
3.05-4.47
Finally the video maintains the style
established early on with the camera arcing
around the performers as they play and
mime to the music. The narrative is not
extended any further however when the
video ends with a POV leaving the house in
the car. Holding this shot for 5 seconds
before fading
The Libertines- Up The Bracket
0.00-0.56
The video opens with four split screens
that are initially mostly the same girl
but after 22 seconds all the band
members appear begin performing. This
opening shot all takes place within a
alley-way immediately showing an
industrial side of the band, using
0.56-1.08
The video then cuts to all four band
members in the alleyway performing
the song a fade is used very quickly
and then the mid shot of the
performing is held for 10 seconds
tracking backwards to follow the band.
1.08-1.24
The video crosscuts between the
two performance shots
established until it cuts to a new
performance shot in a living
room where props of
instruments have been
introduced.
1.24-2.00
The video now shifts focus to these
performance shots and not
generally holding a shot for more
than 3 or 4 seconds before cutting
or fading to a different band
member or shot type whilst
performing.
2.00-2.10
During these 10 seconds
the pacing of the video
significantly speeds up
with faster editing and
altered lighting to reflect
the quicker paced guitar
solo taking place.
2.10-2.50
The video continues to maintain this faster
paced edit towards but occasionally holding
shots for about 3 seconds. In addition it will
track and arc around performers during these
extended scenes to show not only the
performers in the band but also the extras who
are dancing

end
Filmed quite roughly camera is
