OBJ ECTIVES OF LEADERSHIP

The ultimate objectives of leadership is the
accomplishment of the mission. It should not be
considered as an end in itself but merely as a
means to assist the leader in accomplishing his
assigned mission. Through the effective
leadership mission is successfully accomplished
with the minimum expenditure of time and effort.
The harmony of the unit objectives with that of the
individuals needs and goals is also
maximized

a. MORALE it is the state of
mind of every individual members
of the unit. This indication depends
upon the individuals attitude
towards everything that affects him

individual or group attitude that
insures prompt obedience to orders
and the initiation of appropriate
action in the absence of orders.

members.

It is for this reasons that a leader
should always strive to present himself
as a good model to his men, worthy for
their emulation. The shining example in
his bearing and appearance, in his
morale and conduct, his devotion to
duty and his attitude towards the
service in general

The leader must be a teacher to
his men. The more proficient he is as
an instructor, the better leader he
becomes to his subordinates.

leader of good bearing creates a very
good impressions. The general

withstand pain, fatigue, distress and
hardship and still be able to perform his
functions properly. It is also the states
of the leaders mental and physical

A leader must possess not only the
specific knowledge about your job, but also
some broad knowledge concerning other
areas of interest. You should be competent
in field operations and training as well as in
the technical and administrative aspects of
your duties.

You must have a better understanding
of how your men react and function under
various conditions if you make a

Within the limits of security
requirements, you must keep your men
informed. This practice encourages initiative,

understood by your men. To ensure that

Teamwork is the key to a successful
operation and it is largely developed through
training. Teamwork requires the
development of a high degree of morale,
esprit de corps, discipline and proficiency.

You must develop to make rapid estimate of
the situation and arrive at a sound decision. You
