 History of EM
• Stevens Institute of Technology founded a Department of Business Engineering in 1902


• MIT offered a degree in industrial management around 1913



• The first department titled "Engineering Management" was founded at the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR) in
1967 and PhD in 1984
