FATIMA NADEEM
WHAT IS EVALUATION
It is the critical judgment of
quality of any knowledge.

It is an Intrinsic feed back
(Self Analysis)

THREE MAIN TYPES OF CURRICULUM
EVALUATION
Formative Evaluation provides information on
learners performance at one or more points during
the learning process. Like oral assessment,
assessment work sheets
Summative Evaluation is directed towards a general
assessment of the degree to which the larger out
comes have been attained over the assessmentlike
Final Result.
Diagnostic Evaluation is to discover the underlying
cause of deficiencies in students learning as
instruction unfold.

TYPES OF EVALUATION IN LESSON
PLANNING
1. SELF EVALUATION
Through Students output
Intrinsic feedback ( self analysis of
your Lesson Plan that how well it
goes)
Extrinsic feedback (Head / Seniors)
Informal ( parents)

2. STUDENTS EVALUATION
It must be based
In the light of student achievements in
assessment ( purely based on the
teaching methodology)
Home work

WHY WE WRITE EVALUATION
To judge/evaluate the effectiveness of a single teaching
method
To judge my Lesson planning.
To judge that whether I am following the curriculum or not
To make the best use of the Text book & other Audio-visual
aids
What do I do when things go wrong?
How can I become an excellent classroom manager?
6.How do I know that my lesson is successful? What is the
evidence/ under planned /over planned, realistic targets , %
of student achievement?

for the struggling learners?
