 Right

Triangle - A triangle that has one

angle that measures 90 degrees

Hypotenuse the longest side of the right

triangle.

Adjacent

side the side beside the angle

given; note that hypotenuse will never be
the adjacent side of the triangle.

Opposite side it is the side of the

triangle that is opposite to the angle
given.

 Sine

used to find an angle that has a

given value for its opposite side and
hypotenuse.

Cosine

used to find an angle with a

given value for its adjacent side and
hypotenuse in a right triangle.

Tangent

used to find an angle with a

given value for its opposite side and
adjacent side.

 Cosecant

it is the opposite of a sine.

Usually defined as one/ (over) sine theta.

Secant

it is the opposite of cosine.

Usually defined as one/ (over) cosine
theta.

Cotangent

the opposite of tangent

which is defined as one/ (over) tangent

Economic Impact:
The height of the bridge has limitations in terms
of the height of some vehicles passing under it.
As we all know Public Utility Vehicles, Public
Utility Jeepneys and Private Vehicles do vary in
sizes because of its designated design thus
giving them an advantage to pass under the
bridge. In the case of the bridge in the Panaad
tadium not all vehicles can pass by, during
events like Panaad Sa Negros where people bring
their families in buses and other large vehicles.

Solution:
For the benefit of all the vehicles, if the
bridge was built a bit higher, it can
accommodate all vehicles. Traffic wouldnt
arise for the mere fact that truck drivers
and bus drivers would not have hesitations
to pass under it because they know the
bridge is capable of letting them pass due
to its taller height.

Lfisher Hotel
Economic Impact:
Due to the alluring impact and good amenities of
L fisher hotel it became well known here in Bacolod City.
Every Masskara festival, its easy access to different
places made it more convenient to stay with. The tax
that this building pays add up to the taxes that our
government has that would definitely be converted to
funds for the different projects of our government for the
betterment of our country. Though L fishers location is
very accessible, the place where it is located is
becoming congested because other new commercial
buildings that were built near there is causing traffic on
the Lacson street itself.

Solution:
It is better for the hotel to relocate if ever
they still have plans in extending and
improving their appearance. Though if ever
they do relocate, they should also reconsider
the accessibility of their customers if they
still want to continue in the business section
of our society.

TCS Basketball Court

Economic impact:
The structure was well built, since the ring is in
standard height and the court is wide. The structure is
advantageous for events like friendly matches and
sports fests because it can hold two games
simultaneously.
Solution:
The school should host friendly matches to make use
of the well- built court.

CONCLUSION
We have concluded that using trigonometry
(trigonometric functions), especially the right
triangle, Pythagorean Theorem, and the angles
of elevation and depression could be of great
help in determining unknown distances and
angles of various structures when instruments
and tools for measuring become inaccessible
and unavailable. And also by using
trigonometric functions, measuring would be a
lot faster and easier than using the manual way
of measuring.

RECOMMENDATI
ON
We recommend the use of other techniques
and methods for measuring. Using tools that
would work better than clinometers are highly
recommended. And also in terms of measuring,
more accurate measurements of the parts are
important in determining the right measurement
of the whole structure. The more accurate you are
with your measurements, the more likely you will
come up with the correct results.

REFLECTION
In this UBD project we have learned that it takes
two to tango to finish any field work. Camaraderie
and patience were the main factors why we have
finished this study in right time. We also learned to
appreciate the beauty of trigonometry for it to
achieve such brilliant ideas like that. If
trigonometry wasnt discovered infrastructures
such as home, commercial buildings and landmark
wouldnt arise. Indeed, Trigonometry becomes very
useful and handy when tools for measuring are
unavailable. Trig. is just simply amazing
