Vision : our vision is to seamlessly connect the riders & drivers to


make the city more accessible & expand the company globally to make
the other cities more closer.
Uber is a rideshare and taxi service company headquartered in San
Francisco, California, which operates in cities in several countries. The
company uses a smartphone application to receive ride requests, and
then sends these trip requests to their drivers. Customers use the app
to request rides and track their reserved vehicle's location

UBER GLOBALLY

Uber was founded in San Francisco, USA in 2009 by Travis Kalanick.


Uber has its operations in more than 45 Countries spread across 600 cities.
It has approximately 1500 employees globally.

UBER INDIA
Uber debuted in India exactly one year ago, but has rapidly
expanded to 10 cities.
It first launched operations in Bangalore last year around
September on a secret testing mode, following which it was
launched in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad,
Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kolkata.
In India it works on three employee policy, there are about 30 Uber
employees
in
India
currently.

Uber does do background checks in the US. This includes a 3 step criminal
background screening for the U.S. -with county, federal and multi-state
checks
that go back as far as the law allows.
In India this background process is done by the Government. when you get
your professional chauffeur permit. It includes the criminal history and
background check, it includes traffic violation history etc.

From the remaining amount 80% is given to drivers while the rest 20%

One sticking point that has been brought up in both lawsuits is
the insurance requirements for drivers. Ubers websites say
that they offer $1 million liability insurance plans for their
drivers.
