Specification
The Audio/Modem Riser (AMR) Specification version
1.01 is now available. AMR defines a common
AC
97 2.1 link
standard interface connector and mechanical form
factor for adding modem and/or audio risers to ATX,
microATX, and NLX form factors. By placing the
sensitive analog components on a riser, higher audio
quality and easier modem certification are enabled.
The interface, utilizing an AC '97 2.1 link, includes
support for Audio Codec (AC), Modem Codec (MC) and
Audio/Modem Codec (AMC) devices.
