Angle- I will show the negative points of becoming pregnant,
by showing them being pregnant can stop your social life because becoming pregnant has a lot of responsibility. Unique selling point- trying to encourage my audience to be responsible for their actions.
Arguments & Debates- i will be debating on whether
condoms should be sold to teenagers so they will have a lower chance in becoming pregnant.
How will I do this- I will do this by interviewing a lady from
the clinic/pharmacy in Romford or someone from the family planning association. Structure and Running order Segment 1 - My opening sequence will be by showing facts and figures to grab the relevant target audience’s attention.
Segment 2 - Introduction (me presenting outside the
clinic)
Segment 3 - Have an interview with an expert to
discuss their views on teenage pregnancy.
Segment 4 – I will show my vox pops.
Structure and Running order Segment 5 – interview someone who has experienced being pregnant.
Segment 6 – Discuss the issue of selling condoms to
16 year olds.
Segment 7- Interview with a pharmacist (discuss the
morning after pill and whether condoms should be sold to teenagers under the age of 16
Segment 8 – Closing with summary of the
documentary and the importance of unsafe sex. Explanation of Research & Key Findings Four different types of research was carried out, facts and figures, questionnaires, focus group, and textual analysis. During this research I gained qualitative, quantitative, primary and secondary research.
By doing this research I gained a lot more
information about my target audience which helped me to add or take out conventions to make my documentary better. Technical Viability Equipment I will be using for my documentary: • Camera • Battery for the camera • Tripod • Tape • Microphone -Equipment for post production • Mac - for editing my documentary • DVD – to record my production onto a DVD Crew • Camera operator – Me • Voice over - Dilraj • Actors - Friends • Director – Me • Presenter – Me/ Dilraj • Editor - Me Practical Viability People that will appear in my documentary are friends, experts from the clinic who can give information
I will have archive footage for my
documentary, I will have my vox pops and interviews.
I will not be needing any props for my
documentary, I will just the presenter to be dressed appropriately. Commercial Viability
Market – there are similar documentaries like my
documentary but my documentary will have a males point of view so it will appeal more towards the male audience.
Your budget – I will have to pay for my transport for the
location of where I will be filming, I may have to pay for the professional interviews.
Distribution and Exhibition – I think this will fulfil its ethos
because it will defiantly inform entertain and educate the target audience. This would be broadcasted at about 9:30pm because of the content of the show and at this time ‘the worlds strictest parents. Questions For My Audience
