PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
This course aims to:
Cover the canvas of HRM at both macro and micro level to equip the line
managers dealing with human resources and human resource managers with
contemporary knowledge and practices informed by valid findings from
research.
It intends to cover both basic and strategic HRM issues. Further, the course
covers important aspects of behavioral science again focusing on behavior of
both entities- employee and organization.
Incorporate knowledgeable about global business practice and managing a
diverse workforce.
It intends to develop effective teamwork and leadership skills, critical
thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.

COURSE CONTENT
The program is divided into 4 semesters to help students get a hands on all the
Management and HR Concepts:
SEMESTER 1:
PAPER 1: PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT
Principles of Management is an introductory 3 module paper which explores internal and external issues that
influence an organization's decisions and policies affecting its human resources.
PAPER 2: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Critical HR functions will be explored to provide a solid understanding of the many issues confronting the
HR professional.
PAPER 3: ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
Tomorrows leaders and managers will increasingly work with and through partnerships across the dividing
lines of government, business, civil society, and academia. In this paper students will develop knowledge,
sensitivity, and skill in working across institutions and sectors
SEMESTER 2:
PAPER 1: BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT AND STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
This paper will help students understand the concept of strategy and strategic management process. It will
equip students to develop a good understanding of the constituents of business environment and how they
influence strategic analysis and strategy formulation
SEMESTER 3
PAPER1: MARKETING MANAGEMENT
The objective of this course is to provide the students exposure to modern marketing concepts, tools, and
techniques, and help them develop abilities and skills required for the performance of marketing functions.
SEMESTER 4
PAPER1: ORGANIZATION CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT
The Objective of this paper is to provide a conceptual input of meaning, characteristics,
processes & influences of Organizational Development & Change Management. The course
also intends to impart skill sets through experiential learning.
PAPER 2: MARKETING RESEARCH
The aim of this course is of providing the relevant inputs of Business Research Methods to the
students so that they could study systematically various complex management problems and
derive solutions for the same.
PAPER 3: SOCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PSYCHOLOGY
The Objectives of this course are to understand human behaviour in social and industrial
settings. A student will be able to comprehend the causes of behaviour as well as the methods of
improvement by going through this course.
