Conclusion
The total electricity requirement reduces

substantially. A small DG set can be used to make


the cold storage independent of grid power.
The biomass and the agro fuel available locally
can be used to drive AARP. The operation cost and
maintenance cost of the cold storage is very low.
The cold storage can store a wide range of
products having different storage temperature.
The investment in grid power connection, stand
by DG set, plant room etc is substantially reduced.
