LOW COST HOUSE

LOW COST HOUSE REFERS TO THE COST EFFECTIVE , ECOFRIENDLY FOR LOWER AND MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE.

TYPE: DIFFERENT TYPE OF PROJECT

HAVE
DIFF COMPLEXITY AND
DETAILS.

NOW THE QUESTION

ARISES ,HOW TO
MAKE THE HOUSE AS
LOW COST

HOW??
?

GENERAL METHODS
ADOPTED ARE

FOUNDATION:
Arch foundation:
It reduces the construction cost
up 40%
It can be used in the sandy soil.

OTHER:

RANDOM RUBBLE
MASONRY WITH
CEMENT OR MUD
MORTAR PLACE ON
THE SANDY BED.
UNDER RIMMED PILES
ARE USED IN CASE OF
BLACK COTTON SOIL.

WALLS
Rat Trap Bond
It is type of brick wall
masonry in which the
brick are laid at the
edge.
It give the internal
cavity which can be
bridge by rowlock.
It gives thermal
comfort .
It reduces the cost up

BRICK JALIS
It reduces the
number of
bricks.
In turn it
reduces the cost
of material.
Provide
pleasant effect

OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
ARE

Soil cement wall technology.

Concrete block walling.
Fly ash sand lime gypsum brick.
Black cotton and inferior soil
bricks stabilized by fly ash
Compressed mud block masonry.

ROOF:
Ferro cement channel
roofing
FERRO CEMENT IS A COMPOSITE
MATERIALS OF CEMENT AND
SAND APPLIED OVER AN WOVEN
OR MESH OF STEEL.
FERRO CEMENT CHANNELS ARE
USED FOR ROOFING.
LESS LABOUR REQUIRED
REDUCED 30% THAN RCC COST.
LEAD LOAD IS LOW.

FILLER SLAB-TECHNIQUE
The filler slab is based on the principle that for roofs
which are simply supported, the upper part of the
slab is subjected to compressive forces and the
lower part of the slab experience tensile forces.
Concrete is very good in withstanding compressive
forces and steel bears the load due to tensile forces.
Thus the lower tensile region of the slab does not
need any concrete except for holding the steel
reinforcements together.
