Aphotographiclens(ormorecorrectly,objective)isanintegrated
systemcomprisingoneormoresimpleopticallenselements,usedfor

theamountoflightthroughthelens,andafocusingmechanism.

Twinlensreflexcamerainformation
Thetwinlensreflexcamera(TLR)ischaracterizedbyhavingtwo
objectivelensesofthesamefocallengthOneistheactual
photographicobjectivesinglelensreflexcamerasinseveralrespects.
First,unlikemostSLRs,TLRsprovideacontinuousimageonthe
finderscreen.Theviewdoesnotblackoutduringexposure.
Additionally,modelswithleafshuttersratherthanfocalplaneshutters
cansynchronizewithflashathigherspeedsthancanSLRs.However,
becausethephotographerviewsthroughonelensbuttakesthe
photographthroughanother,parallaxerrormakesthephotograph
differentfromtheviewonthescreen.
Thisdifferenceisnegligiblewhenthesubjectisfaraway,butis
criticalfornearbysubjects.
