“Who

owns
the
earth?”

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." Psalms

24:1
God Created the Earth and All of Nature in it
Psalms 104:25,30.
In wisdom you made them all,
the earth is full of your
creatures.
There is the sea, vast and
spacious, teeming with
creatures beyond number -
living things both large and
small...
When you send your Spirit,
they are created and
you renew the earth.
John 1:3.
Through Him all things were made:
without Him nothing was made that
has been made.
Colossians 1:16-17.
All things were created by Him and
for Him.
He is before all things
and
in Him all things hold together.

“founded the earth to endure’’ (Ps. 119:90-91).

What kind of world did God create?

Laws of the Physical World
Everything follows the law.
What kind of world did God create?

The laws reflects the faithfulness of God.

Without the laws there would not be any certainity.
Life would not have been possible without it.
“maintained by your rulings”
(Ps. 119:90-91).
Things coexist in intricate
and regulated harmony.
This is the basic postulate of
science and reason.
It is a world of bounty and harmony.
Every constant is adjusted to create a coherent
universe to support life.

“while the earth remains,

seed-time and harvest shall not cease”
(Gen. 8:22).
No physical hypothesis founded on any indisputable fact has yet explained the origin
of the primordial protoplasm, and, above all, of its marvellous properties, which render
evolution possible—in heredity and in adaptability,
for these properties are the cause and not the effect of evolution.
For the cause of this cause we have sought in vain among the physical forces which
surround us, until we are at last compelled to rest upon an independent volition, a far-
seeing intelligent design
Gen 1:24-25 And God
said, "Let the earth bring
forth living creatures
according to their
kinds; cattle and
creeping things and
beasts of the earth
according to their
kinds." And it was so.

And God made the

beasts of the earth
according to their kinds
and the cattle according
to their kinds, and
everything that creeps
upon the ground
according to its kind.

They are in a different

dimension
Each dimension has its own
law.
Gen 2:7 then the
LORD God formed
man of dust from the
ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the
breath of life; and
man became a living
being.

Gen 1:27 So God

in the image of
God he created
him; male and
female he created
them.

Mechanical View of Nature
Anthropocentric Philosophy
1. Many Christians believed that the
whole creation was meant for the use
of Man. So we need not care about the
environment.
2. Due to the belief that creation could
and thus should be under human control,
many Christians felt justified in
exploiting and degrading the
environment for the sake of progress.
3. These beliefs about the importance
of creation has caused many
Christians to look for ways in which
they can care for and protect the
environment today.
