Structure and Function of the NCP

System in Bosnia and Herzegovina

NCP FP BiH
NCP FP BiH System (National Contact Point System
for EU Framework Programmes in BiH) has been
established through the project, supported by the
Republic of Austria, with the aim to promote the
involvement of researchers and research organisations
from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European
Framework Programmes for Research, Technological
Development and Demonstration.

Results

First and second phase of the project resulted with:


Official recognition of NCP FP BiH by theEC and Ministry of Civil
Affairs of BiH
Appointment of National coordinator NCP and INCO NCP
Beside recognition by the state, NCP FP BiH has established office
infrastructure and network of Focal Points at universities and
promoted its name and activities among researchers in BiH
NCP FP BiH partners are all eight universities in Bosnia and
Herzegovina

As of January 1st, Bosnia and Herzegovina is


associated to FP7

Ministry of Civil Affairs initiated drafting of a new State-level


Law
on Science and is preparing a S&T Stategy of BiH
S&T is nominated as the priority for IPA Funding

Ministy of Civil Affairs in 2008 introduced FP7 Project
