Logic Solvers Contains logic solving capability. Logic Solvers run the
SIS modules the user configures.
Terminal Blocks Field device connections to Logic Solver I/O channels.
Dual Right Extender It is used to terminate the 2 channel peer-to-peer
communications for the Logic Solvers in the example above. The
Power/Controller 2-Wide carrier has the peer-to-peer communication
termination built in.

SISNet Repeaters
SISNet repeaters provide fiber-optic communications between Logic Solvers attached to
different controllers.

SISNet Repeaters
SISNet Repeater Carrier Provides pass through connections for railbus signals
and the +12VDC power required for traditional I/O cards. It provides peer-to-peer
signal connection from the SISNet Repeater to the rest of the system and a
communication signal connection between the two SISNet Repeaters.

Ring A is wired from CAB1 to CAB2 to CAB3 to CAB4 to CAB1, completing the
fiber-optic ring.
Ring B is wired just opposite from CAB1 to CAB4 to CAB3 to CAB2 to CAB1,
completing the fiber-optic ring.
Scenario
Assume CAB3 looses all power and the SISNet Repeaters are down. Wiring the fiberoptics in opposite directions give the availability of the other CABs to communicate to
each other across the fiber-optics. If CAB2 sends data to CAB1 or CAB4 it has a path
using RING B.

Power 12VDC from Ovation System Supply is sued by SDS and NOT used by
any SLSs or SISNet Repeaters.
Railbus Communication lines used by SDS for Primary and Secondary Ethernet
connections to the Ovation LAN through router. Ethernet communications are for
configuration downloads and monitoring only; not safety-related functions.
