Transmission system types

Before we transmit our signal we must
select the suitable transmission media for
our system.
There are many transmission types:
1-Satalite communication transmission.
2-Fiber optics cables transmission.
3-Coaxial and copper cable transmission.
4-Microwave transmission.

Satellite System
We use this type of transmission for transport
signal for long distance.

Fiber optics System

We use this system to transmit high capacity
signal for long distance like:
1-International backbone between many countries
like (FALG,).
2-National backbone between states.

Microwave System

Microwave system can be used to transmit any types of signals as (Data

,Voice ,Video).
Microwave transmission can be used in any communication system like
Mobile Telephone system.

The advantages of Microwave system:

1-Easy installation no need for digging .
2-Fast installation two days you can install one link.
3-Low cost No need much manpower.

The disadvantages of Microwave system:

1-Limitition of frequency channel license.
2-Interference problem due to using co-channel or adjacent channel
interference.
3-The stability of microwave transmission is lower than fiber optics due to
affecting by fading and atmosphere.
