opportunities reports, the BDD can
encounter many investment opportunities
that can be presented to the corporate for
evaluation and probable acceptance. Being
within a business unit, the investment
opportunities might never be presented
since it might belong to another territory
which could be out of the jurisdiction of the
business unit

 The business development division will incorporate a
traveling schedule to various destinations around
the world for the purpose of perusing business
opportunities in favor of the business development
within the jurisdiction of the business unit’s
territory.
 However the analysis conducted during traveling can
be done for the corporate interest, by expanding
the scope of analysis, this would save redundant
traveling to the same destinations for performing
several analysis reports while it could be done at
once in one trip.
 In short, the corporate can utilize this to gain more
knowledge about investment opportunities abroad
and potential ways to link to local opportunities, in
the same time, the corporate will save
considerable cost by achieving all required analysis
by minimizing traveling expenses

The BDD has the ability to conduct large
scale research projects that will favor the
corporate in taking better decisions based
on scientific-approached analytical reports.
Maximizing the D’s deliverables would give
better vision to the corporate management
by making available all information
necessary to take any decisive action, long
and short term strategizing

There are functions under business
development that overlaps with multiple
departments, e.g. General Business
Support, Focused Research (currently
handled by the corporate research
department), Process Analysis, etc.. .
Since the business development division
builds an integrated knowledge structure
in various areas of corporate/business unit
interest, it would be useful to share all
information with all entities to elevate the
level of knowledge & awareness in order to
have a progressive and cascaded effect of
better strategy planning & decision taking.

 The business development division will allocate
strategy advisors to each business unit’s head
to align the paths of strategic planning and
grow initiatives taken by the BU heads
 To simply achieve a better process flow for the
hidden functions of strategizing and
investment opportunities hunting.
 In other words, the business development
division will enable effective and organized
strategizing at corporate/BU levels and provide
the tools & platform that can be used to
achieve this.
 On the other hand, the division will maintain its
role as a strategic advisor for corporate
management and provide live-updated
awareness about various business
