Maxillary Anesthesi
Supraperiosteal Injection
The supraperiosteal injection is the most
popular injection technique for the pulpal
anesthesia of maxillary anterior teeth.
Sometimes this injection technique is referred
to as infiltration, but the solution is deposited
near terminal branches of nerves so it is
actually a type of field block. This injection is
ideal for pulpal and soft tissue anesthesia

:
nonisotonic,
injection into muscle, rapid injection
toxicity increasing/ balloning tissue
oedema.
Prolonged anesthesia (paresthesia)
occurs more frequently as an
aftermath of infection or operative
area.
EKSTRAKSI GIGI
Tindakan mengeluarkan gigi dari soketnya
dengan prosedur asepsis, dengan indikasi dan
instrumen tertentu.
Indication :
a.As focal on infection ( close & open focal)
b. Persistensi, prolong retensi, phisiological
resorbtion.
c. Erupsi Difisilis
d. Malposition, cause : as iritant/injuries to
sorrounding
tissue
(Ectopic
bucco/
linguoversion, extruded), causing aesthetic
problems.
e.Orthodontic/prosthetic treatment
f. Auxilliaris teeth (mesiodens, natal
teeth, paramolar)
g.Severe fractur caused by trauma
h. Prepare for external radiation in
tumour therapy
Contraindication:
a.Systemic
: Severe uncontrolled
metabolic
disease,
hematologic
disorder, anxety, gravid (T1&T3) with
abortus history &
imunosupressive
status.
b. Locally
: acute inflammation (?),
trismus, tooth localized in to tumours
area.
