Wood Group Engineering Services (Abu Dhabi) LLC based in Musaffah in Abu
Dhabi, UAE is a facility spanning 3,700 sq,m area undertaking various overhaul,
refurbishment, manufacturing activities.
The Services of WGES(AUH) are including and not limited to refurbishment/overhaul
of all types of valves, X-mas Trees, BOPs; rotating equipments like pumps,
compressors; manufacturing of various components related to API 6A, 16A and
various valve and pump components and spares.
WGES (AUH) has been operating in the Middle East region for over 25 years in the

valve industry and currently employs over 65 personnel.

Wood Group Strip Inspection

Receiving, Stripping and Inspection of Valves:

Receive valves at WGES-AUH Inspect valve for external defects & record size rating,
quantities, tag/serial No etc.
Hard punch/Etch job number on non-functional surfaces
Ensure spares receipt where supplied by customer (Customer to provide list of
spares available for valves)
Record the direction of rotation and fail safe action
Strip valve to component parts
Clean component parts and inspection (dimensional, NDT, corrosion, erosion, PMI)
