The topic and lesson is familiar to the learners which is the


costumes among the multiracial ethnic groups in Malaysia.
Learners will appear to have higher level of comprehension
and interest when the content is familiar to them (Ahmadi,
2011).

The using of realia will prepare an enjoyable environment


and also to engage different learning styles in a classroom.
Realia is not only interesting as the fundamental of a
lesson but also encourages creative and active thinking
among the learners (Brookfield, 2006).
