FIRST, WHAT IS ROTARY? Rotary is an

international voluntary service organization
1.2 million Rotarians throughout the world.
34,000 Rotary Clubs in 530 Rotary International
Districts.
Philippines is divided into 10 Districts; there are
800 Rotary clubs with 20,000 Rotarians in the
country.
Our club, Rotary Club of Holy Spirit,
Spirit belongs to
District 3780 which is comprised of 100 clubs
with about 2,400 Rotarians in Quezon City.

What is Interact?
Interact is a service club for
young people ages 14-18.
Sponsored by local Rotary
clubs, Interact clubs give
young people an
opportunity to participate in
fun, meaningful service
projects while developing
leadership skills and
meeting new friends.

youth in their

Program Guidelines
Most Interact clubs

Are school-based.
Have a Rotarian adviser and a faculty
adviser.
Meet at least once a month. Interactors must
attend 60% of regularly scheduled meetings.

Interact stands for
international action.
The first club was chartered in
1962 at Melbourne High
School, FL, USA.
Today there are more than
15,000 clubs in over 125
countries with an estimated
membership of 360,000 youth
worldwide.

The Interact Club of Holy Spirit National High

School was organized in August 2009

Generation, who spearheaded formation of the Interact Club, last Sep 11, 2009.

World Interact Week

Every year, Interactors and Rotarians celebrate the
charter of the first Interact club during the week of 5
November. Together they participate in a variety of
activities to increase Interact awareness in their
communities.
