purpose built training facility providing the training needs
of the Engineering and Manufacturing sector locally.

We are the largest independent training and assessment


centre in the North East, providing training and
assessment locally and to companies around the country.

heavily in the purpose built Centre. We have large
well equipped workshops with state of the art
equipment that covers all disciplines of engineering.

Machinery

Do not use any machinery or equipment unless you


have been trained to use it and have permission.

Make sure you are familiar with the controls and


emergency stops and that all guards and safety
devices are in place.

Be careful with loose clothing, jewellery and long hair.

Always isolate machines before adjusting, cleaning


etc.
Always report any defects to your instructor.

Working with substances

You may be exposed to hazardous substances


whilst in centre:

fume

dust

chemicals

Please listen to instructions

Be punctual and ready for work.

Seek guidance and help if you require it.

Respect others.

Respect the facilities.

Act responsibly be risk intelligent not risk


averse.

General Centre Rules

Canteen facilities are available during breaks.

A selection of both hot and cold food, cold drinks


and snacks are available.

Food and drink must not be consumed in:


workshop
classrooms
locker room

The canteen must be left in a clean and tidy state


to ensure it is a comfortable place for all learners
to have rest breaks
PLEASE CLEAR UP AFTER YOURSELF

General Centre Rules

Smoking is only allowed in the designated


area during break times. The designated area
is the main car park. Smoking is not allowed in
the workshop doorway.
Please do not drop litter in the car park
