Secondary Swap Area

• File system swap is always secondary
• Better to keep in another physical Disk
Swap Space Priority and Performance

Priority Level From 0 to 10. Highest Priority of swap is used


First
• 0 is Higher 10 is Lower
• More swap having same priority, used in round robin fashion
• File system swap and Device swap having same priority,
device swap will used first.
• Better to avoid , multiple swap with same priority in same
disk
