Punjab.
Five Doctoral scholarships annually from 2009-10
onward.
Award of scholarship through selection by a Board
approved by the Chief Minister.

Eligibility Criteria

Government of the Punjab

Preference

Applicant who has completed course in Research

method during M. Sc Degree will be preferred.
2 facilities for Ex- PCS, Ex-PSS and PMS.

2 facilities for DMG officers .

1 facility for P&D / Finance Department.

Research and
Analysis
Ability

Officers ability to conduct independent

research and analysis (to be assessed by the
Social Research Methods Course undertaken in the
Masters degree).

Regular Officers of BS-17 and above with 16
Scale/Experienc years of education plus a government service of
5 years.

The proposed area of research must be relevant

to Pakistan and in one of the following broad
categories:
General
Administration(Human

etc.) Financial Management Economic & Social
Policy, Development Studies.

Master Degree

Should have scored at least 60% marks

preferably from foreign universities related to
the proposed doctorate program

IELTS/ TOEFL

Overall IELTS score of 7.0 band or higher or

equivalent TOEFL scores in a test taken not
earlier than 3 years from the closing date of the
application
