Science popularization occupies a unique place in the Indian firmament both within governmental institutional frameworks and in civil society.

In the context of the oft-cited Fundamental Duty enshrined in Article 51A (h) of the Constitution “to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.”
