Transactional Leadership
Transactional leadership is sometimes
called bartering. It is based on an exchange
of services(from a teacher, for instance) for
various kinds of rewards (such as a salary)
that leader controls, at least in part.
It is a style ofleadershipin which theleader
promotes compliance of his/her followers
through both rewards and punishments.
