A qualified applicant should:
- hold a non-Chinese passport for at least four years and have lived outside of China for at
least two years;
- have received a masters degree or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 2 recognized equivalent;
- have sufficient undergraduate or master education for doctoral study in the chosen field and stay in good academic
standing;
- demonstrate English proficiency through a valid record of either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), only if the applicant is from non-English-speaking
countries. A valid TOEFL score is 95/120 or higher on the internet-based test for a graduate admission, while a valid
overall Band score of IELTS is 6.5 or higher on a 9-point scale.

Admission decisions are made according to an interview in addition to a comprehensive departmental

review on academic records, the personal statement, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and relevant
work experience.

The application starts from 1st May till 15th May, 2016, and enrollment in September, 2016.

Financial Aids
1. Once an applicant is admitted, College of Civil Engineering will offer him/her a full scholarship.
2. Scholarship includes a full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of 5000 RMB for ten months in each
academic year.

study period at a reasonable rate.
