Academic Offences
Academic integrity is expected and
required of all Fanshawes students.
Students are responsible and
accountable for personally upholding
that integrity. Academic offences will
not be tolerated.

Academic Offences
Academic offences include, but are not limited to;
Copying test answers from another student
Copying and submitting (whole or part) work of
another as your own
Double submission using work from one course
in another
Using unauthorized material or aids in the
preparation of an assignment or project or during an
exam
Claiming completion of tasks completed by
another
Allowing a person to take a test in your place
Improperly obtaining a test bribery, theft
Aiding or abetting anyone in an academic offence

Academic Offences
If you are suspected of an academic
offence, you will be investigated.

Offences, subject to them being the


first offence, may result in

Code of Conduct
Conduct which adversely affects the right
of a member of the College Community to

health, safety, or rights of a member of the
College Community may result in
disciplinary sanctions.

Disruptions
Disruption or obstruction, by action,
threat, written material, or by any
means whatsoever, of any College
activities, preventing any person
from carrying on his or her legitimate
activities, whether or not it involves
speaking or associating with others

Misconduct
Misconduct against persons includes, but is not limited to
assault, harassment, intimidation, threats, stalking,
bullying, and coercion;
conduct that threatens or endangers the health or safety
of any person;
disorderly or indecent conduct;
the use of information and communication technologies
such as e-mail, cell phone, and pager text messages,
instant messaging, personal Web sites, social
networking sites, and online personal polling Web sites,
to support harassing or hostile behaviour by an
individual or group, or that is intended or has the
potential to harm others, (e.g. cyber-bullying);
