WHY CONSERVE WATER?

Waterconservationmeans using our water wisely and caring for it properly. Since
each of us depends on water for life, it is our responsibility to learn more about
waterconservationand how we can help keep our water pure and safe for
generations to come. Since we all enjoy the benefits of having pure, clean water,
we must help conserve water so that we may continue to enjoy these benefits.
Waterconservationis a big thing, but every little bit helps, so don't think that what
you do doesn't matter. A whole lot of people doing a little bit adds up to a whole lot.
We must all make changes in our lifestyles that will change the course of our water
and its quality

ANALYSIS
From the data collected, we understand that China is the most populated country in
the world. As there are more people, it should be first in the terms of water usage.
However, it doesnt even comprise in the top ten. So, we determine that China
might suffer from water shortage problems.
None of the top ten countries in terms of population appear in the list of the top ten
countries in terms of usage of water. So, they all might be suffering from water
deficit problems. On the other hand, the top ten countries in terms of water usage
dont have a huge population. Therefore, lots of water go to waste in those
countries.
Although water is a renewable resource for now, it is very important to conserve it
for future generations as it might become non-renewable. The amount of water
used must be directly proportional to the population. In our world, it is in a way
inversely proportional.

ANALYSIS
After analysing this data, we arrive at the conclusion that although only about two
thirds of the U.S population receive water that has completely undergone water
treatment processes, almost the whole populous receives water that is fit for
drinking, i.e. drinking the water does not give them diseases of any kind.
However, this situation may not last forever. Due to constantly building new
factories and industries, water has been polluted to a great extent. If this untreated
water is sent to homes, people may fall ill very easily.
The solution for this is to recycle water. We have to make sure that water
undergoes complete treatment processes. We must not only care about ourselves
but also the future generations and must hence conserve water as it may not be
there forever

SOME INTERESTING BUT SAD FACTS

Almost 800 million people lack access to clean safe water every day.
Almost 3 million people die every year because of water and sanitation
and hygiene-related causes.

Every 21 seconds, another child dies from a water-related illness.

More than 1 billion people still practice open defecation every day.

The average American, taking a 5 minute shower, uses more water than
an average person in the slums of a developing country does in a whole
day.
