INTRODUCTION

BMSCE Kreedotsav is State level inter-collegiate Tournament conducted by B. M. S. College of

engineering in the memory of B.M. Sreenivasaiah, B. S. Narayan, Oomen Mathew and Prof. Mukerjee.

Currently the Sports updates are done on official website of BMSCE. The main goal of this project is to
build a website exclusively for Sports and activities with timely updates and more content involving
post-event photos, events details, videos, tournaments updates and frequent news and updates.

This Project will help enhance the Fame of BMSCE Sports and also reaches more people on the World
Wide Web.

This project will be mainly deployed as a sub module of the main website and will be under the
supervision of the sports department, BMS College of engineering.

PROJECT SCOPE

A dedicated website to host and manage all the sports activities conducted by BMSCE

Much of the process will be done online reducing the paper work

This project will be able to automate a lot of process namely team registration by introducing online
registration
Circulars and other updates will be pushed via EMAIL further speeding up of the process
High support for Data security and data integrity
Currently support for SMS is not available, but will be deployed in the second phase of the project

Ability to allow both internal and external users to access the application without downloading
any software

Ability to interface with the existing data warehouse application

Ability to push updates via EMAIL

Ability to incorporate automated routing and notifications based on business rules

Exclusive admin console for managing the website and also performing content addition,
updating and deletion operations
The project will mainly run on a server and will be active with 99% uptime
Day to day logging will be done by a third party application called awstats
Dedicated mailboxes and email ids will be generated on requested
Automated email notifications will be deployed on request
