INCARNATION
OF
JESUS

IT IS DIFFICULT TO CONCEIVE OF
THE SON

OF GOD COMING

TO EARTH
TO BECOME
MAN!

JESUS IS
THE ONLY MEDIATOR
BETWEEN GOD AND MAN!
(I Timothy 2:5)
JESUS IS THE
LIVING BREAD
FROM HEAVEN!
(John 6:48-58)

ON THE MOUNT OF
TRANSFIGURATION, THE FATHER
SAID, This is My Beloved Son.
(Matthew 17:1-5; II Peter 1:16-18)
Gods FINAL REVELATION is in
JESUS!
(Hebrews 1:1-3; John 1:14-18)

CONSIDER:
Jesus NEVER REBUKED anyone
for calling Him GOD, or for
WORSHIPING HIM!
Now the eleven disciples went to
Galilee, to the mountain to which
Jesus had directed them. And
when they saw him they
worshiped him, but some
doubted. (Matthew 28:16, 17)

Then he said to Thomas, "Put

your finger here, and see my
hands; and put out your hand, and
place it in my side. Do not
disbelieve, but believe."
Thomas answered him, "My Lord
and my God!"
(John 20:27, 28)

JESUS IS HISTORICAL!
HE LIVED ON THE EARTH!
He not only provides LIFE AFTER
DEATH, but also LIFE INSTEAD
OF DEATH!
Christ CAME TO EARTH so that
people could be IN HIM. In
Christ is found 135 times in Pauls
writings!

THE VIRGIN BIRTH

Jesus Deity is closely
connected to the virgin birth. If
both of His parents had been
human, His BLOOD WOULD
HAVE BEEN AS WORTHLESS AS
OURS!

The phrase Son of Man is found

CONSIDER:
The entire book of John is
emphasizing that Deity became
flesh and lived among men

And the

Word became flesh

and dwelt among us, and we

have seen his glory, glory as of the

only Son from the Father, full of
grace and truth.
(John 1:14)

O GOD, MAKE ME LIKE JESUS

Beloved, we are God's children
now, and what we will be has
not yet appeared; but we

know that when he appears

we shall be like him, because
we shall see him as he is.
(I John 3:2)

1. The angel said, Why do

you seek the living One among the
dead? He is not here, but He has
risen
(Luke 24:5, 6)
2. He is ALIVE for evermore
(Revelation 1:17, 18)
3. Because of Jesus resurrection,
WE will be raised

4. The Christians HOPE is BOTH

IMMORTALITY and a
CHANGED BODY
5. Jesus was raised through the
HOLY SPIRIT (Romans 8:11)

on the REALITY of the

WONDERFUL PROOFS OF JESUS

RESURRECTION
1. There were MANY
CONVINCING PROOFS of His
Resurrection (Acts 1:3)
2. The book of Acts does NOT
DEBATE His resurrection. It just
DECLARES IT!

3. The Resurrection of Jesus is

the most certified fact in
all history.
4. Jewish Law required a thing to
be established by two or
three witnesses (II Cor. 13:1)
5. Jesus Resurrection HAD
MANY WITNESSES!
Corinthians 15:1-8)

WITNESSES OF THE
RESURRECTION
1. The APOSTLE PAUL:
This is sufficient certification!
He saw the risen Lord! He gave
his life to preach resurrection!
(I Corinthians 9:1; 15:8-11)
Paul preached OUR resurrection!
(I Corinthians 15:42-58)

2. The ENEMIES of Christ

Enemies believed when disciples
doubted
They asked Pilate to secure the
tomb (Matthew 27:64, 68)
Enemies were SILENT on
Pentecost and afterward in the
City where it happened!

3. The APOSTLES:
Cowards became martyrs!
They died for preaching the
resurrection!
They were competent witnesses,
NOT LIARS!
Would anyone GIVE THEIR LIFE
for preaching a LIE?

4. The WOMEN:
If this were an invented story, the
liars would NOT make women the
first witnesses (Luke 24:1-11)
Jesus rebuked the apostles for not
believing them (Mark 16:11, 14)

5. The APPEARANCES:
Some scholars list TEN
appearances of Jesus in the 40
day period after the resurrection
Note that Jesus did NOT appear to
His enemies, Herod, Pilate,
Caiaphas, etc.
Jesus appeared to chosen
witnesses who ate and drank with
Him in the 40 days (Acts 10:39-41)

6. JOHN, an excellent witness:

John and Peter ran to the tomb.
John saw the GRAVE CLOTHES!
John believed! (John 20:2-10)

7. DOUBTING THOMAS:
When Jesus first appeared,
Thomas was not there (John
20:24)
The apostles talked to him, but he
still doubted!
Until Jesus appeared when
Thomas was there
(John
20:25-29)

GRAVEYARD HUMOR
1. Some events at the resurrection
would be humorous if not so
serious
2. Heartbroken women brought
spices, not even thinking about
the large stone they could not
move (Mark 16:1-3)

3. Is it not somewhat humorous to

think of Roman soldiers trying
to guard a tomb, shaking and
becoming like dead men
(Matthew 28:4)
Were they executed for losing the
dead body? NO!

4. TWO DISCIPLES ON EMMAUS

ROAD:
They did NOT recognize Jesus as
they walked together!
They asked, Are you unaware of
the things which have happened?
Jesus preached to them!
When they recognized Him, they
were thrilled (Luke 24:32)

RESURRECTION POWER
1. Paul wanted to know the
power of Jesus resurrection
(Philippians 3:7-11)
2. Death could not be victorious
over Jesus (Acts 2:22-36)
3. By His death, Jesus saved men
from the law of sin and
death (Romans 8:1, 2)

4. Jesus took the power of His

blood to heaven (Hebrews
10:19-23)
5. On the cross, Jesus abolished
death and brought LIFE and
IMMORTALITY to light
(II Timothy 1:10)
6. Jesus resurrection
guarantees OUR resurrection
(I Corinthians 15:42-57)

BUT, THANKS BE TO GOD

WHO GIVES US
THE VICTORY
THROUGH OUR
LORD JESUS CHRIST!
