The Importance of Islamic

Education for a Muslim

Individual

- Jamea Al Kauthar

From the very beginning, it has been considered important for any
Muslim man or woman to seek knowledge as it is a form of sacred
duty.
In order for anyone to become a true Muslim, he or she should
seek knowledge and develop his/her mind and soul in the right
manner.
However, with hundreds of years of colonialism, old monarchy and
ideological oppression within Muslim communities have led to a
spiritual and moralistic degeneration of Muslim communities in all
parts of the world.
In order to recover the lost glory of Muslim worldview and get rid
the ill effects of such degeneration, it has become necessary at
this point of time to restructure the educational policies of Muslim
people along Islamic principles as declared in the Holy Book of
Quran.
The men and women of today in the Muslim world need a form of
Islamic education that will ultimately make them the leading torch
bearers of Islamic ideas and principles both in present and future.

It is considered that the whole structure of Muslim education system

needs to be transformed and it is going to serve as a basis for the
fulfillment of all temporary and spiritual obligations that people of this
community are going to face.
What is now needed is the strength within Muslim education that is
going to produce leading professionals in all sections of human life, be
it science, philosophy, economy, law, politics or media.

The Muslim experts who will be operating in different fields of

knowledge are going to rebuild the social system in accordance with
tenets prescribed by Islam.
In order for a person to live his or her life fully in accordance of the
principles of Quran and have a fulfilling existence, it is necessary that
the person has the best Islamic education to start with that in turn can
imbibe the Islamic values firmly in his or her heart.

For this reason, it is necessary to be a part of an Islamic school like

Jamea Al Kauthar from the start that can foster positive Islamic
education. A person is not a Muslim simply because he or she is
born in a Muslim family, but because of the Islamic education that
he or she receives.
It is only by receiving a proper Islamic education that he or she can
become a true Muslim. Hence knowledge is the only way by which
a person becomes a true Muslim.
Without acquiring the right kind of knowledge, it would never be
possible to develop a correct relationship with God or the
Almighty.
When a person is fuelled from within through sound knowledge,
then he or she can bring light to the darkness and remove all
ignorance that can lead to difficulties and problems associated
with our practical and spiritual lives.
