LOCATION

Italy is a sovereign country, member of the European Union. It is a

bi-continental country; its territory is in Southern Europe and has
several islands in North Africa.

WEATHER

The climate in Italy is somewhat variable, in the north is a

mountainous area where the climate tends to vary from wet to
dry with some rainfall, while in the south, the weather is usually
warm.

CURRENCY

The euro equals 763 Chilean pesos. Each Italian euro coins are

RELIGION
The predominant religion in Italy is Roman Catholicism. In fact, the
Vatican City, the seat of the Catholic Church is settled in Rome.
87% of inhabitans are Catholic, the rest is divided between Jews
and Muslims.

LANGUAGE
The official language is Italian, used in the entire extent of its
territory, leading also to dialects and derivations of language such as
the Piedmontese, Sicilian, Sardinian, Lombard, Neapolitan and
Venetian, among others.

DRINK AND FOODS

Italian food has a variety of flavors, textures and aromas which

are covered with the particularity of each region, which turns out to
be a very varied cuisine, including the familiar pastas, pizzas,
meats, dairy products and meats as well as its processed liquors
and wines.
