INTRODUCTION
Home automation system allows one to control house hold
appliances from a centralized control unit.
This appliances include lights , fans , air conditioners , television ,
audio/visual equipment etc.
System allows one to wirelessly control (lights , fans) electrical
appliances and turn ON or OFF any appliances that is plugged into a
wall outlet.
This system can be controlled from a mobile phone.

REQUIRED ENVIRONMENT
To implement this we choose Android platform.
Android app development necessary software
- Android SDK bundles
- Android studio
- JDK (Java Development Kit)
- Scripting layer for android (python , Perl)

CONCEPT
To maintain wireless communication three different ways:
1) Wi-Fi
2) Bluetooth
3) GSM
Out of this three GSM is preferable because with Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth some range issue occurs.
GSM stands for global system for mobile.

FLOW OF THE SYSTEM

Whole home appliances or you can say electric appliances connected with
switch board.
We connect our switch board with GSM module which includes GSM
controller through GSM we will able to connect our appliances with GSM
network so it will be easy to connected with our device.
Now our connection establish user will able to show appliances and their
status and able to manage them via SMS.
User maintain his home appliances well. we will do programming in python
for Raspberry-Pi. Raspberry-pi is also connected with switch board.
Our android application also notify user about their appliances status. So this
can be also use for security purpose.

DESIGN CONSIDERATION
Design for performance, safety and reliability.
Performance :
we have consider GSM wireless communication for better
performance of our application and we will try to include features like
fire alarm , curtain(open/close)door , alarm system security purpose
and like all other normal system. We can also control electric
appliances. In this part of development we have create GUI(graphical
user interface) for our application in software like android studio

DESIGN CONSIDERATION
Safety :
home automation system is also the best way to provide adequate
security without too much physical effort. Recently ,close circuit
camera feeds also provide you live or save views to protect your home
in any conditions .you can also control the alarm system in emergency
as one of your friends wont to get in but does not have the key to
unlock the door. All in all ,it is the best way to provide the safety to
any unoccupied home .
