TESTING THE FEASIBILITY OF BLENDS ON FUEL

INTRODUCTION
Abiofuelis afuelthat is produced through
biological processes, such as agriculture and
anaerobic digestion, rather than a fuel produced
by geological processes such as those involved in
the formation offossil fuel , such as coal and
petroleum, from prehistoric biological matter.
Biofuels can be derived directly from plants, or
indirectly from agricultural, commercial,
domestic, and/or industrial wastes.

TESTING THE FEASIBILITY OF BLENDS ON FUEL

OUR OBJECTIVES
To check feasibility of Cotton seed oil and Soya
bean oil blends as an alternative fuel.
To check performance characteristics of these
biodiesel blends.
To find out the blending percentage of these
blends to give optimum performance.
To perform exhaust gas analysis.

TESTING THE FEASIBILITY OF BLENDS ON FUEL

SHORT TERM WORKING

Contacted IBDC, Pune; but turned out to be unfruitful due to
prolonged and unsatisfactory process by them.
Contacted IIT Guwahati , IISC Bangalore, COEP Pune , MIT Pune for
load test and exhaust gas analysis due to unavailability of exhaust
gas analysis elsewhere.Turned down by MIT and COEP Pune. No
reply from others yet
Contacted ChemTech pune for testing of physical properties of oil .

CURRENT WORK PROGRESS

Confirmed the order of the various blends from
S.V.M. agroprocesses Nagpur with quotation of
650 per litre = 650 x 12=Rs 7,800
14.5 service tax = Rs. 1131
Trasportation= Rs. 3000
Total= Rs.11,931
Contacted ARAI, Pimpri with reference to
availability biodiesel mentioned aforesaid and
expecting a positive response .
