TYPES OF COVER LETTER


There are three types of cover letter:

Application cover letter

Prospecting letter

Networking letter

APPLICATION COVER LETTER

and always include proper salutations and
closings.

PROSPECTING LETTER

A letter which inquires about possible


positions.

This cover letter also details your skills in the


area of work you are looking for.

NETWORKING COVER LETTER:

A letter which requests information and


assistance in your job search.

WHY COVER LETTER IS IMP?

A resume is of limited value to an employer


if he doesnt know what kind of work you
want to do.

A cover letter tells him the type of position


youre seeking.

And exactly how you are qualified for that


position.

DIFFERENCE B/W COVER LETTER


AND RESUME

Difference b/w resume and cover letter is


that resume should provide the reader with a
better understanding.
Cover letter should connect the dots for the
reader and show the previous experiences to
apply for job for which he is applying.

Provide your contact information.

Include the date you are writing the letter.
