Purpose

Once we finished the production stage of our music magazines we were then told we had to do
the post production stage. This is when we were all given the opportunity to get into small
groups where each person would present their magazines and they would comment on what
they have done good and what they can improve on. This is known as WWW ( what went well)
and EBI ( even better if) . I benefited from having this critical feedback from my peers because
the suggestions werent biased so this will then allow me complete the changes to my magazine
so it can become the best it can possibly can. To achieve this I had to go through all the
feedback that was given back to me and then notice what were the most common suggestions
so I can do these changes. After this our media magazines were then blown up into A3 size. I
then had to select two people to analyse my magazine by colour coding it.

Level 1 ( A Grade)

Level 2 ( B
Grade)

Level 3 ( C
Grade)

Level 4 ( D Grade)

The first thing I had done well was that I used a big
bold masthead and this is important because this will
grab the attention of my audience resulting in them
purchasing the magazine.
The next thing I done well was that I used a play on
words for my strapline because Indi music is for
independent musicians thus why I said
independently minded
The final thing that was stated I done well was my
cover stars are a strong main image and showing the
genre of my music through their costumes.
In order to make my magazine the best I possibly can
I must make sure that I respond to negative critical
feedback, which my peers have given to me when
shown my front cover.
One piece of feedback I got was that I need to make
my sell lines bigger because they are unreadable due
to the fact they are so small so to achieve this I will
increase the font.
Another piece of feedback I got was that I need to
make my sweetspot bigger and to change the colour
of my sweetspot, to achieve this I will change the
colour to a more bolder colour such as red so then it
stands out more and the reader can then read the
text. To make my text bigger I will need to select the
text and then increase the size.

The first thing I had done well was that I used a

big bold masthead and this is important
because this will grab the attention of my
audience resulting in them purchasing the
magazine and also allowing them to notice its
my contents page.
The next thing I have done well is that I used
vibrant colour which allows my readers identify
different headings and also allows them to read
the text better.
The final thing that was stated I done well was
the images I used were relatable to the text I
inserted about each topic.
One piece of feedback I got was that I need to
make my pictures more spaced out because
they looked squashed together.
Another piece of feedback I got was that I need
to use more colours than just red because
there is too much red on the page.
The final piece of feedback I got was that I
space my text out more because it is all
squashed together therefore hard to read.

The first thing I had done well was that I used a

masthead created by quotes with in the text and
this is important because this will grab the
attention of my audience resulting in them
purchasing the magazine.
The next thing I have done well is that I used
pictures in which I have used my Photoshop skills
on so they can be relevant to my target audience.
The final thing that was stated I done well was
that I used many of the feature article codes and
conventions such as a clear title, 3 column layout,
stand first and drop cap. The drop cap is used so
the readers know where the article start and the
3 column layout is used so the text is clear as
well as broken down.
One piece of feedback I got was that I needed to
include more pull quotes so that my text is broken
up even more and easier to read for my audience.
