Living A Legacy

1 Tim.6:17-19
Give this command to those who are rich
with the things of this world. Tell them not
to be proud. Tell them to hope in God, not
their money. Money cannot be trusted, but
God takes care of us richly. He gives us
everything to enjoy. Tell those who are rich
to do goodto be rich in good works..

 And tell them they should be happy

to give and ready to share. By doing
this, they will be saving up a treasure
for themselves. And that treasure
will be a strong foundation on
which their future life will be
built. They will be able to have the
life that is true life.

 You cant give your way into heaven,

but you can tell where a persons
heart is by what they do with their
money.For where your treasure
is, there your heart will be also.
(Mt.6:20)

There Will Be A Test!

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us
kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our
God, And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will
hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts, as
in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the
wilderness, When your fathers tested Me;
They tried Me, though they saw My work.
Ps.95:6-9 (Deut.8:1-10)

 Note: They tested GodGod tested

them!
We are regularly taking a testand it
is seen in how we honor God in our
tithing and giving.

Malachi 3:6-10
For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O
sons of Jacob. Yet from the days of your
fathers You have gone away from My
ordinances And have not kept them.
Return to Me, and I will return to you,
Says the Lord of hosts. But you said,
In what way shall we return?

 Ordinances: an ordinary principle of

behavior

 Will a man rob God? Yet you have

robbed Me! But you say, In what
way have we robbed You? In
tithes and offerings. You are
cursed with a curse, For you have
robbed Me, Even this whole
nation.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,

That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this, Says the Lord
of hosts, If I will not open for you the
windows of heaven And pour out for
you such blessing That there will not be
room enough to receive it

 And I will rebuke the devourer for

your sakes, So that he will not destroy
the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the
vine fail to bear fruit for you in the
field, Says the Lord of hosts; And all
nations will call you blessed, For you
will be a delightful land, Says the Lord
of hosts.

 The main objection within churches today is that it is an

Old Testament law, and we are therefore free from the
law.
Are we free from the ordinary principles of behavior?
For example, are we free from murder or stealing, or
adultery? Christ brought all of these to an even higher
level.
Abraham tithed 500 years BEFORE the law. Gen. 14:20

 Jesus endorsed tithing in the NEW

TESTAMENT-- Woe to you, scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe
of mint and anise and cummin, and
have neglected the weightier matters
of the law: justice and mercy and faith.
These you ought to have done, without
leaving the others undone. Matt.23:23

 Tithing is to BREAK the spirit of poverty

from off your life!
The spirit of poverty is one of satans
most deadly strongholds in use today.
By overcoming it, we will gain a spiritual
authority to be used to meet the worlds
most pressing needs!

 The spirit of poverty may or may not have

ANYTHING to do with money. It is to KEEP you
from walking in the fullness of the VICTORY
gained for us at the cross-- the blessings of
our inheritance IN Christ!
The goal of the spirit of poverty is not just to
keep THINGS from us but to KEEP us from
the WILL OF GOD!

 Tithing is FOR YOU!

God says PROVE ME
The first step in defeating the works of
darkness is to understand them.
Understanding is LIGHTignorance is
darkness!
When light shines the darkness is GONE!

 2 Cor. 10 :4 says weve been given divinely

powerful weapons to PULL down strongholds
Strongholds are maintained by principalities.
You can cast out a demon but Scripture says you
will WRESTLE against principalities.
Wrestling is close combat where you DISPLACE
your foe. How you displace him is by WALKING in
the LIGHT and DOING what the WORD says.

 Spiritual authority will ALWAYS have dominion in the

NATURAL as well as the spiritual!
My goal is not simply to have money BUT to DO the
will of GOD without HINDRANCE in the spirit realm or
the natural.
The question should never be do we have the money
for this, but simply what is Gods Will!
The question is not do I tithe or not tithe, it is am I
going to do Gods will or not!
