Overview
Personalization Framework which allows to personalize an Oracle EBusiness Suite application page without modifying any underlying
code to meet business requirements.
These personalizations never overwrite the existing base product UI
and are therefore preserved during upgrades and patches.
It can be extracted from one environment in flat file and can be loaded
to another environment.
Allows configuration at different levels.

If this system profile option is set to Yes, any personalizations, regardless of
the level , will not be applied.
The default is No.

FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled


(FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINITION):
If this profile option is set to Yes, Personalize Region links appear above
each region in a page..
The default is null (not set).

Personalize Self-service Defn (FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINTION):


If this profile option is set to Yes, then after login, a global Personalize Page
button appears on each OA Framework-based application page.
This profile option should be set to Yes at the user level for an administrator.

PL SQL Package : These are customized packages
used to define the approval process.
Oracle Approvals Management (AME) is a webbased application
which is integrated with Oracle Workflow and which enables you to
define business rules to control your approvals processes. With AME,
you use its components to define your approval processes. They are
associated with a transaction type for a particular application.
The Self Service transaction review page has a provision for Dynamic
approvals (Add-Adhoc Approver), where approvers can be added in the
review step of the transaction.

Dynamic Approvals
The dynamic approvals is default behavior for SSHR functions
It can be enabled or disabled as required.

SSHR user can see the path of the transaction by displaying all
default approvers who will participate in the approval process.

User initiating the SSHR transaction can add additional approvers to


the approval chain and nominate additional notification recipients
(reviewers) using Add Adhoc Approver feature

Approval Management Engine
AME is a web application providing the following services to calling
applications:
A centralized rules repository for defining and sharing rules
An execution engine to evaluate rules based on transaction specific
data
List management capabilities
History of approval statuses
AME does not manage the notification, routing or responses from
approvers
These remain the responsibility of the calling application or the
workflow process

Decide which transactions will route for approval and for which
groups of users require approval for SSHR transactions
Approvals can vary from section to section within the same function,
For example, approval is required for changes to Main Address but not for
changes to Phone Numbers

Approvals can vary from responsibility to responsibility


For example, some employees submit training requests to their manager,
others submit them to the Training Administrator or both

Overview
Employees and workers can only view their own records and make

changes as required with the help of the "Employee Self-Service"


Responsibility.

This access is normally given to all people across the organization.

Absence Management
Leave can be applied via self-service by employees or managers
through Absence Management function.
Request multiple absences, view them in a summary format.
View history of absences they have taken.
Submit a planned absence request (before the absence is taken) or a
confirmed request (either after the absence is completed or when
dates have been finalized before the absence begins).
Can be updated by employees or managers to change the absence
dates or confirm the absence. Planned, confirmed, and updated
requests can be submitted for approval.
Users cannot update requests when they are pending approval or past
requests

Change Assignment
Managers and professional users can view their own records plus
the records for certain employees and workers (defined by security
profile) with the help of the "Manager Self-Service" responsibility.
Usually managers have access to the records for the employees or
