What is Monitoring?

Observe and check the progress or quality


of (something) over a period of time; keep
under systematic review.

What is Evaluation?
The making of a judgement about the amount,
number, or value of something; assessment.

Inspection of a Subcentre

What is to be monitored for a


Sub Centre?

Access to service (equity).


Location of Subcentres
Registration and referral procedures;
promptness in attending to clients;
transportation of emergency maternity cases
etc.
Management of untied fund for the
improvement of services of the Sub- centre
Staf behaviour
Other facilities: waiting space, toilets,
drinking water in the Sub-centre building.

least once a week)

resources and available facilities
Objectives:

To make available quality health care services and


the related facilities for citizens.
To provide appropriate advice, treatment, referral
and support that would help to cure the ailment to
the extent medically possible.
To redress any grievances in this regard.
