Procdures

Power up the two DUWS and make sure correct connection between DUWS
Connect your cable to the master DUW
Run the script ADD_DUW_EXPAND AND MODIFY.XML via Tools / Modify RBS
Equipment

Upon completion of loading, create a CV and restart the RBS with it.
When the connection is restored, check the DUW Slave has already been
recognized.
check Equipment tab, selecting the subrack = 1, slot=1,slot-2 as shown
below

DUW slave

Procdures

At this point begins the synchronization between DUWs. During this stage the
Master DUW copies all files to DUW Slave(mirror effect). This process takes
around 5-10 minutes and the progress can be followed via Serial connection
(Hyper Terminal) on DUW Master.
You can monitor the green led status of the two DUWs during synchronization
process.

The process can also be followed via EM in the screens below. They appear in
the Containment (MOM Based)

When the synchronization process is finished, the status of slave DUW will
change from PassiveNotReady to Passive ready

ERRORS OCCURES DURING CASCADING PROCESS

During the execution of Site Equipment, the following error appears:

CAUSE: DUW Slave is not configured, probably due to non-execution

of the script
ADD_DUW_EXPAND AND MODIFY.XML via Modify RBS Equipment
SOLUTION : re-run the ADD_DUW_EXPAND AND MODIFY.XML again
and make sure the slave
DUW IS synchronized.

ERRORS OCCURES DURING CASCADING PROCESS

While running the Modify Equipment RBS, the process locks the screen below:

CAUSE: The slave DUW was not recognized by the master DUW
SOLUTION : Check power and cabling of slave DUW, make sure correct IDL
cable
Connection between the two DUWS

NOTES

Its an option whether you format the slave DUW or keep it on the basic CV.
however if formatted youve to assign an IP to the RBS.
All scripts must be run through the master DUW.
Make sure to choose the climate system to be (extended) while running the
cabinet script.
In this kind of cascading we use the DBB21_xx in which only the optical ports
(RIA,RIB AND RIC) in both DUWS are to be used , PORTS D & E are not allowed
to use.

I can make any sector connection combinations as long as Im using the A/M
optical ports with respecting the correct assignment of ports while running the site
Script.
You have to inform the integrator with the sector connection combination order on
the site.
