Project : Travel Advisors
The students will choose one country of the world, the will make an oral presentation
and explain this:
1. Geographical position, the name of the continent.
2.Mother language
3.Mention at least 3 customs or traditions, parties, etc. about that country.
4.Finally, they will talk about the typical food of the country.

Day 1 Vocabulary

Crafts, traditions, generation, language, figures,


fireplace, pottery and broken
Students will identify the vocabulary in the students book and look up
the definition as the teacher guides them to understand the meaning
without translation.

Here we will introduce the special adjectives that are called

The students will form groups and practice the articles

We will read aloud the list of vocabulary and have


students repeat it, later we will read the sentences aloud
and infer meaning from context.

I will review the principle of the month and biblical principle for the
current objective and the song of the month.

I will review the vocabulary

Phonics practice:

We will study the sound /j/ g dge emphasizing on words such as


generation, language and edges, make a sound isolation on the
board of those sounds.

We will repeat and learn the rhyme and guide students to learn the
importance of culture

Generations one, two and three

My grandparents, parents and me.

Our traditions are passed along

Through stories, food, crafts and song.

Guided preview: Page 92-93-94-95
Lets play the recording and follow the reading
Explain that this game is called football, also
explain that people in many other countries use the
word football to refer to the game called soccer in
the USA
Define succeed as DO WELL.
Explain that skill is an ability to do something,
such as read, paint or dance.
Point to the various musical instruments, say their
names and have students repeat these after you.
Invite students to share their experience when
playing a musical instrument.

Day 4

I will review the principle of the month and biblical principle for the current
objective and the song of the month.
Class activity
I will have them think of customs, traditions, or heirlooms that have or
might pass on generations.
For example: some china, jewelry, etc.

Students will work on this resource in their notebooks, starting with the

Day 5

I will review the principle of the month and biblical principle for the
current objective and the song of the month.
We will read again on page 191 then we paraphrase and discuss the
information.
I will explain that a written work begin with an introductory
paragraph and ask these questions:
Is the information in the introduction specific or general?
Does the author tell you about a specific tradition , or does she talk
about traditions in general?
Students will write and I will explain this organizer
