Problem Definition
In hospital environment large amount of
electronic data is available

All information is available all the time
Difficult to get the concrete information
even in simple situations
This is become worse due to the use of
PAC(Picture Archiving and
Communication)

Solution
infobutton engine
clinician and patient context in order to
provide concise answers to frequent
questions posed by clinicians
Restricted to very concrete solutions

Proposed Solution
Study of access pattern context sensitive
It shows only relevant information
Information can be static or dynamic

Problem faced in identifying

solution
It is necessary to identify the context of
access
Context models

Identify the relevant information available

inside the document
Well known technique available for this
HIS, it is difficult to use those methods

Context Based solution

Context

Require access to EHR

Context Definition

Position of the medical staff
Type of the medical workstation

Contextualised Query Process

Fig: Scheme of contextualise query process

Implementation
Rule base Identify the context
Frequency table - To select its pertinent
documents
Query for pertinent data groups
PL/SQL stored procedures are using for query

Update of frequency table

Each time a data group is requested (very often).
Each time the reference date changes (once a year)
the frequencies stored are updated.

Result & Conclusion

The number of clicks required for getting
information is reduced significantly
Time for access is also reduced
Various doctors are tested the system
Commented it is very useful
Time saving system
