 The economic recovery process varies considerably from
region to region and from country to country.

 Among the industrial countries the USA has been able to take
a lead.

 The emerging economies of the Asian continent are playing a


key role in the revival, with India & China the driving force.
 After falling for two to three quarters, global GDP has begun
recovering; output grew rapidly during the second half of 2009
and is expected to continue to do so during the first half of
2010.
 Trade, which initially fell sharply, is also recovering; the
exports of developing countries were expanding at a 36 %
annualized pace, but the volume of world trade remained 2.8
percent lower than its pre-crisis level
